Dave Bautista, a cop on the job, and Kumail Nanjiani, an Uber driver, are thrown together in "Stuber," a film directed by Michael Dowse.

Sadly, Lion King and other hit summer movies are overshadowing this gem, but I'll definitely be looking for the DVD/digital copy once out! I don't think you'll enjoy this movie. It's comedy but has action in it. Just chill and watch then laugh at the stupid parts and pay close attention on the serious parts.

I had never heard of Dave Bautista (not a wrestler fan) but was very impressed with his comedic talent. There's enough action (rated R), drama, and character development. Makes for a great date movie, or even friends hangout movie. 5-Stars for this ride! The chemistry between Dave and Kumail is what makes this movie so funny and fantastic. Michael Dowse can film a heck of a car chase, and there is a great opening action sequence that hooks us, but it’s watered down by too many scenes where nothing important in the film happens .
A lot of the movie was unexpected! Especially how Vic ended up using Stu, the Uber driver, as his "partner."most of the material is just slap-stick silliness, which is beneath someone like Nanjiani, who gave us the excellent dramedy ” The Big Sick”. Bautista looks convincing busting heads and firing guns but we knew that already.
The movie takes a dig at the toxic masculinity and cracks you up.

So I'm trying not to be biased since I'm a huge Batista fan but this movie is definitely worth watching! And credit to Bautista and Nanjiani, they almost make it work. But not quite. Dave Bautista clearly showed why he is here to stay- for the comedy, drama and the heart he brings to the movie.

Unfortunately, the material their working with would make it difficult for any star duo to succeed. The entire film is also pretty predictable and at times feels like an Uber commercial.

Just don't take this movie too seriously and you'll enjoy it.Trust me, this movie will make you laugh! I think this is going to be the biggest comedy of the year, and I don't usually say that for a lot of the movies. while trying to fix their own personal problems and come out of this mess as better people.

Howey definitely still had the same kind heart he did in shameless and definitely contributed more to the movie in the romantic side for Stu.When he gets a break on the same day he’s having lasik surgery done, he wanders into an Uber being driven by “Stu”, who’s bully boss calls “Stuber”, and the two go on a series of wild chases to catch the bad guy,
It was also so sweet to see the dog's role in the movie, definitely heartwarming.Bautista stars as “Vic” a tough as nails cop who’s trying to crack a case he’s been working on for years. The two were brilliantly paired.

This movie was pure entertainment..hysterically funny at many times. Don't expect it to be extremely serious or anything of the like.If you are the person who looks for plot holes and is very critical about everything,However, if you love a good comedy and action movie, this is your movie! You of course have to take the movie as something that has consequences or a goal that has to be achieved.It's a story about Vic, chasing the drug leader (Iko Uwais) who killed his cop partner.

While it has it’s funny moments, and everything going on around us makes it very difficult to take “Stuber” seriously.Still, you have to acknowledge that there will be a quiet a lot of scenes that will tell you that this is stupid .Don't be a 50+ year old virgin bitter about life. I'm not saying that you have to disregard or ignore the serious parts. I am a big time comedy person and I loved this movie!

Batista and Nanjiani made a great combo with the typical manly-man trying to finish what he started and a man who is in touch with his sensitive side yet a push over and sideline type. Since it says that this is stupid then you as a viewer then knows that the scene is stupid.This movie is definitely not for kids, not for the language...but the adult entertainment portion.

A very pleasant surprise was seeing Steve Howey in part of the movie. Dave Bautista and Kumail Nanjiani is such a random pairing, it’s almost like the producers of “Stuber” threw the names of every Hollywood celebrity into a hat and pulled it’s two stars out of that hat by chance.

Stuber is a movie about a cop,It was worth the money and visit to the theater. Will probably go see it again.
